This summer, local area high school students can participate in an Aviation STEM Camp for a refundable $25 fee* from June 9th-12th at the Penn Valley Airport in Selinsgrove. Over the course of 4 days, students will learn about aerodynamics, flight planning, air traffic control, navigation, aircraft engines and aircraft maintenance. Participants will also build robots and a jet engine model, fly a full-motion aviation simulator, and meet with and hear from a Geisinger Life Flight pilot, flight nurse, and emergency medical technician (EMT). Lunch will be provided each day.

This event is capped at 12 participants, and is only open to students who are entering grades 9-12 this fall and who reside in the following PA counties: Union, Columbia, Montour, Snyder, Northumberland, Lycoming, Clinton, Mifflin, or Centre.

*The $25 ticket fee is refundable, and will be refunded to camp participants through Eventbrite upon camp completion. Please note: If you register for camp and do not attend or finish the camp, a refund will not be issued.
