Fun For The Summer Lessons For A Lifetime. Why Choose the Y For Your Child’s Summer Experience?

Designed for children entering Kindergarten in the Fall our counselors will focus on age-appropriate educational and enrichment activities including games, arts & crafts and more. We will build on your child’s independence and social and emotional skills in a way that prepares them for the upcoming school year while having fun! Kinder Campers will be integrated in select Summer Camp field trips and activities which are determined safe and appropriate for their age group.

Kinder Campers will follow the same pick-up and drop-off schedule as Day Camp, but will attend only select field trips and activities that are determined suitable for their age group in order to keep everyone safe and appropriately supervised. Kinder campers will also spend time each week getting ready for kindergarten, practicing letters, numbers, name recognition, etc. in addition to fun camp activities.

PROFESSIONAL ROLE MODELS
Our counselors are selected based on their experience, attitude, skills, and ability to demonstrate YMCA values. Our “Professional Role Models” attend extensive training covering safety, behavior management, child abuse prevention, games, skits and songs, nature craft, and team building. In addition, we train our camp staff to highlight teachable moments and emphasize accomplishments and successes in all campers.
